  • House at Carine, Perth

    House at Carine, Perth

The house is close to where I am living at Karrinyup. Nothing remarkable, very plain. It is surrounded by beautiful new homes in brand new estates. I wonder when it will disappear and be replaced by something much more upmarket. I somehow prefer the old against the new. Would love to see inside it. I wonder about its history. The house lies near the Carine Gardens Caravan Park at Carine, Perth, Western Australia. Photographed January 2012 - © 2012 Lesley Bray Photography - All Rights Reserved. • Maldon Shop

    Maldon Shop

We stopped at Maldon, a historic gold mining town in country Victoria, for lunch. It was so tempting to stay a few days as there is much to explore here. In retrospect, it was as well I did leave when I did, or I would have been caught up in flooding further north. This is also the town where I had to say goodbye to my dear friends David & Susan who accompanied me on my journey from Geelong. They probably decided the only way to get me to leave Victoria was to escort me out of the place. The old car pulled up just as I was taking the photo, it seemed to blend in with the atmosphere.
