A collection of photos of my father Rodney Grahame Bray (1924-1971. I have attempted to put the in chronological order with much difficulty as a lot have no date or place written on the back.
If anyone has photos of my father, I would be very appreciative if you would contact me. Many thanks.

The caption read: EIGHT YOUNG AUSTRALIANS ALL IN A ROW. The family of Mr and Mrs Frank Bray, of Stoker's Siding. They bear an honored Tweed name, for their grandfather, the late Mr Joshua Bray, was the first Police Magistrate in the Tweed district, in addition to carrying out many other official duties. His name will always be intimately associated with the story of the early development of the Tweed. Rodney Bray looking through the jaws of a whaler shark. He has a small smooth fang shark on ground beside him. The photo was taken at Christmas 1941 or 1942. I am thinking 1941 because he looks the same age as the next photo taken in 1941. Wondering if it was also taken at Stradbroke Island at Roe's Kamp.

Rodney Bray, 17 years, standing on the left, with friends at Roe's Kamp, Stradbroke Island, Queensland, ready for a surf, at Christmas 1941. Names of others unknown to me. Roe's Kamp was founded by the headmaster of Brisbane Grammar School, Reginald Heber Roe who was friends with the Bray family. The friendship likely started when Rodney's father and uncles the Brisbane Grammar School.
