Kronenburger Park - It was designed in 1880 in the English landscape style by the Leuven-based garden designer Lieven Rosseels. The park is part of the Canal Plan which the architect Brouwer devised for the city in 1878: a network of canals surrounding the inner city, with the Hunner park on one side and the Kronenburger park on the other.
The remains of defence works, the lake and the ancient trees give the park the feel of a castle grounds.
